Included services

Below is a list of the legal services we offer Small Business Protection Plan members. Members can enjoy up to a TOTAL of 10 free legal services per year. Each legal service has a restriction on the number of times it can be used per year. This means that members can choose ANY combination of the following services, as long as they do not exceed the limit of each service. Next to each service (in brackets) is the maximum amount of times you can use that service per year:

Telephone Consultation

Would it be help if you could call your lawyer for no extra cost?

All member companies are entitled to free telephone consultations with an appointed lawyer. Simply call or email us to request a callback from one of our lawyers. When possible, your lawyer will return the call the same business day. At certain times our specialists may have prior professional commitments, at such times your lawyer will endeavor to call you back within twenty four hours. Each consultation is subject to a maximum time limit of one hour. The number of consultations you are entitled to is dependant on the plan you purchase. (Up to 10 times per year)

Office Consultation

Do you want to sit and discuss it with us?

If you want to meet with one of our lawyers to discuss your requirements then you can visit our office. Again, simply call or email us to arrange a visit, once we have received your request we will contact you within forty eight hours. Such consultations must be booked in advance and count as one “Legal Service”. (Up to 10 times per year)

Onsite Consultation

Would it be better if we came to you?

We understand that time is a valuable commodity in business today, which is why we offer a convenient onsite consultation service. If you are unable to visit one of our offices then we will have one of our lawyers visit you. Whether you are too busy to leave your office and want us to visit you, or you have an offsite meeting with clients and require a legal adviser to be present, we can help. When an onsite consultation is required simply call us and we will arrange a visit from an appropriate specialist. A one hour onsite consultation is treated as service time and all travel expenses will be paid by the member. (1 time per year)

Contract Review

Have you ever signed a Chinese contract you do not understand?

Member companies can have Chinese language contracts reviewed by one of our lawyers. Either mail, email or fax the contract you want reviewed, and your legal specialist will review it and contact you within five days. Contracts are limited in length to three A4 pages. A full translation service is available and will be charged separately. (Up to 5 times per year)

Drafting Legal Documents

Do you need a legally binding contract?

Member companies can request to have a legal document drafted by one of our many specialists. These Chinese language documents are limited in length to three A4 pages and do not include litigation documents. All contracts will be issued within five business days. If the document exceeds the limit or an English translation is required then there will be an extra charge added. (1 time per year)

Issuing Attorney Letters

Do you need to send someone a message?

Your company can also arrange to have legal letters drafted and sent by one of our legal specialists. All letters will be issued within five business days. (Up to 1 time per year)

Contract Templates

Do you need a simple a contract?

We aim to provide various up-to-date contract templates to our clients. So if you require a standard contract, just call or email us with the details and one of our legal specialists will search our archives and select the appropriate document. Each requested template will count as one “Legal Service” and will be issued within five business days. (Up to 5 times per year)

Review and Revision of Internal Policies

Do your internal company regulations meet the requirements of the law?

We can assist our corporate clients to review and revise their internal regulations. Effective internal corporate governance is essential for companies to ensure they are compliant with all PRC legislation and regulations. On your request, one of our corporate specialists will evaluate, and if required, amend your internal policies. (Up to 1 times per year)

Employment Law Consultation

Would you like protection for you and your employees?

Employment law is complicated and it is also constantly being updated (such as the new Labor Law.) As an employer you have responsibilities to your employees and it is imperative that you know what these are. Our employment law professionals will assess your current situation and offer advice and suggestions to help you understand your duties as an employer. (Up to 1 time per year)

Press Release and Media Content

Got something to say?

From time to time it is necessary for a company to release corporate information to the media. It should also be considered necessary to have a qualified lawyer review such information before it is released. One of our legal team will analyze your media statements and offer legal advice regarding the statement, it’s content, and any potential implications arising from the release of the information. Each statement is limited to five hundred words or three A4 pages. Additional service time shall be applied for statements exceeding these limits. (Up to 2 times per year)
