Proactive legal protection

My business partner and I had a serious argument one Friday afternoon. When I arrived at the office on the Monday morning all the locks were changed and he would not answer my calls. We had spent 3 years building the business together and I was afraid that I had lost everything. When I contacted Logic Legal they were very understanding and got to work straight away. Our company had been buying products from a Chinese supplier for over 1 year. One day the supplier demanded more money (about 30% more) from our company before he would deliver the next order. This was a large order and he knew we needed the products that month. We first tried reasoning with him, after this failed we had our international lawyers contact him, but they too were unsuccessful. At this stage I was referred to Logic Legal by one of my employees. I explained our situation and the lawyer was very confident he could deal with the problem. He called our supplier and arranged to visit him at his factory the following day. The meeting was successful and we received the order the same week (without having to pay any more money.) Personally I think the fact the lawyer spoke the same language and also understood the Chinese business culture were the important factors in the swift resolution of this problem.
